Cyber security for pension schemes - the blue hats and the red hats

ABOUT THIS WEBINAR
As the number of cyber-attacks continue to grow at an unprecedented rate across the UK and globally, the need for cyber resilience is stronger than ever. Pension trustees are legally required to establish and operate an effective system of governance including internal controls. As a potential high likelihood, high impact risk, these controls need to include measures to reduce cyber risk.

As a trustee or employer, you may feel overwhelmed in the face of cybercrime and unsure how to prepare for, and how to deal with, the prospect of a cyber-attack.

Daniel Sibthorpe from Crowe’s National Forensic Services Team and Professional Trustee Vanessa Roberts joined us for a round table discussion exploring the preventative (blue hat) and reactive (red hat) measures which best protect pension schemes. During the webinar launched our Cyber Security Package which contains checklists, policies and documents to help trustees document their internal controls to manage cyber risk.

The practical session considered:

1. Introduction to the scale and nature of cybercrime
2. Building cyber resilience to best prepare for a potential cyber-incident
3. Reactive measures to have in place in the event that a cyber-incident does occur
4. Practical tips and hints from a trustee’s perspective as to how best to develop cyber resilience in your scheme.

This webinar will be of interest to all trustees, pensions advisers and employers.
